What is a touchscreen tablet?

A touchscreen tablet consists of a touch screen without a keyboard or mouse, more practical than a laptop, and larger than a smartphone. Digital tablets, electronic tablets, or even electronic slate, since it can be used with the finger or a stylus, are all synonyms of this connected object.

Features of a touchscreen tablet

A touchscreen tablet combines the functions of a laptop and a smartphone. Indeed, it can connect to Wi-Fi, accommodate a micro SD card for more memory as well as many applications. A touchscreen tablet is therefore a concentrate of technology and multimedia content that you can take everywhere with you. It is also possible to take photos if the tablet has an integrated camera and therefore participate in videoconferences to communicate remotely with other people and thanks to a dedicated app.

In fact, in some schools, the touchscreen tablet replaces student books and thus lightens school bags for schoolchildren. This ultra-flat technological tool is ergonomic thanks to its tactile technology and its low weight.

Tablet purchase: storage capacity and power

When buying your tablet, pay attention to the autonomy of the latter. Indeed, this mobile tool must be able to meet all your uses. If you need more power, a hybrid PC may be better suited; so you can detach the screen like a tablet. Namely, that the touch tablets work under iOS (an operating system developed by Apple); Microsoft, or more broadly under the Android system.

If you are not comfortable with the pad, your finger, or the stylus, know that it is now possible to connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to your touchpad. And if the tablet model allows it to also connect other peripherals.

Why prefer an Android tablet?

This choice is necessary compared to Windows tablets, if you have basic office needs and if you already have an Android smartphone. There is indeed an almost identical interface and the entire Google ecosystem (Gmail, Maps, Calendar, etc.). Compared to the iPad, Android can be an economical choice, as this system makes a big difference between low cost and very high-end tablets. Also, Android lends itself more than iPad OS (the iPad system) to screen personalization. More generally, without really targeting technophiles, it will appeal to users who are not put off by a little technique.

Compared to Android, the iPad represents a reassuring choice, with a very stable and optimized system for the hardware. The iPad is also reassuring from a security point of view; as the apps in the App Store are particularly well controlled. Finally, the Apple choice is also that of quality and design; even if in the Android and Windows worlds, high-end products do not have to be ashamed of the comparison.

Why prefer a Windows 10 touchscreen tablet?

It is the choice of continuity concerning the PC, especially if the office needs are important. A Windows tablet behaves, among other things, like a traditional PC. All Windows applications can be installed there, starting with Office. Some Windows tablets are also very powerful and offer storage spaces of up to TB, while iPads or Android tablets peak at 64 or 128 GB. Windows offers an interface that is in principle optimized for touch screens. But on this point, and despite real progress, it does not reach the level of Android or iOS.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is an economical version of the Tab S6 since the price is practically halved. Among the concessions, the screen is in LCD technology instead of Super Amoled. Blacks will therefore not be perfectly deep. But the resolution is almost equivalent and very high in absolute terms (2400 x 1200 pixels instead of 2560 x 1600 pixels). Another concession: the chip is less powerful and the RAM is lower; but this will only be felt in very resource-intensive applications, such as certain 3D games. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite however retains the excellent S-Pen stylus of its big sister. It is also the most affordable Samsung tablet benefiting from this accessory.
